Chris Warren, AIA, LEED AP, founded WORD/Warren Office for Research and Design as an architecture and design practice capable of working at all scales. The studio’s work is sought out for its progressive and rigorous designs characterized by rich detailing, inventive use of materials, and expressive use of light and shadow. Prior to WORD, Warren was a project designer for many years at Morphosis and a founding partner of the award-winning office Studio Shift. In addition to his work as a practitioner, Warren served as adjunct assistant professor at USC from 2007 to 2014, having the honor of delivering the School of Architecture’s commencement address in 2011. He studied Architecture and Environmental Design at University of Colorado, Boulder, and received his M.Arch from University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
